[12] – Empty Sky Memorial

It’s been 19 years since the attacks on the U.S. by terrorists. A total of 2,977 people lost their lives on that day in NYC, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. Today, there are still people dying from the long lasting effects of that devastating day in American history.

We took a walk over to the Empty Sky Memorial at Liberty State Park in Jersey City to pay respects. The memorial is a beautiful set of 2 walls with the names of all the people that lost their lives inscribed on the inside. From the spot where you first see the memorial, you can look straight ahead to where the towers once stood.
