Concept: The idea here was to give the eatery a more classic Italian restaurant look but keep it somewhat minimal. The previous logo, while it was probably fun for its time, was extremely out of date with its more whimsical typography. The goal here was to add a slight script look for the name and then include the rest of the wordmark on a banner underneath. We kept the color palette the same as the Italian flag, as it was in the original logo, to maintain the feeling of authentic Italian food.
